Edit technical white papers, presentations, and other materials to create easy to understand communications. Fact check findings, rewrite complex sentences, eliminate wordiness, and clean up content for internal and external use and for a variety of high level and extremely technical audiences.
Function as a communications and technical liaison, drawing information from technical specialists, scientists and engineers and acting as a bridge between writers and production/design team. Provide technical and editorial document review, written feedback and expert opinion to writers in order to elevate content.
Write small snippets of copy for graphics, presentations, education and web materials.
Exercise quality control. Responsible for final reviews of written pieces for style, grammar and accuracy before publication.
Create standards, editorial and style guidelines, and enforce best practices across teams.
Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology and news.
A portfolio of writing samples demonstrating expertise.
BS degree in a technical field, journalism, english or equivalent practical experience.
Experience working with, editing and managing technical content.
Excellent written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
